RESCUE OREGON THOROUGHBRED BREEDING PLAN
$1,000 will be paid to the breeder of an Oregon-bred Thoroughbred foal born in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
$250 will be paid to the owner of stallions standing in Oregon who sired an Oregon-bred Thoroughbred foal born in 2021 and 2022!
$250 will be paid to the owner of broodmares of Oregon-bred Thoroughbred foals born in 2021 and 2022!
$500 will be paid to the owner of an Oregon-bred Thoroughbred that has a start in a Thoroughbred race at an Oregon summer fair meets in 2022. Payment will be made within 30 days of the first officially recorded start. This is a one-time payment for the first start, not each start. Bonus will be paid to the owner of the horse at it's first start in Oregon in 2022. Subsequent owners will not be eligilbe for the bonus if the horse has already had a start in Oregon.
An additional starting bonus will be paid for the Grants Pass/SOHRA summer meet in 2022. Please see the information above regarding the sponsorship from the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians and the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
Foals must be registered with the Jockey Club and a copy of the certificate must be sent to the OTOBA for processing. Broodmare and Stallion incentives will be paid once the Oregon-bred foal is registered with the Jockey Club and the certificate has been sent to the OTOBA.
Proof of ownership of stallions and broodmares must be provided to the OTOBA.
Stallions must be standing in Oregon.
Starts must be officially recorded on Equibase.
